LILLIAN KATE...Day One!

Introducing Lillian Kate Ray
Lillian because we just loved it. "Lily" for short sometimes and "Lilybean" because it's cute!
Kate is for Mark's Grandma Catherine, Sister Kathryn and Mom Mary Kay. It is also for Marissa's Sister Bri Kathleen and Mom Jean Kathleen (did we get everyone covered in there?!?!).
Born March 16th @8:12am
(one day before her due date because the doctor plays in an Irish band and was busy on St. Patty's Day)
10 pounds 6 ounces, 23 inches long, 14.75 head circumference
She was so big she didn't fit through the whole and Mom is now sporting a bigger scar!
 I love her little face!
 First look for Mom.
First bottle...this big baby needed a little extra sustenance right away.
Mia took advantage of this opportunity to feed her new baby.

Skin on skin time during a mid-morning nap.
Then, after some post operative extra care for Marissa, everyone got some quality time with Lillian.
Grandpa Ray was loving her "singing" while she slept.
I think Grandma Ray won the award for best burpper.
Aunt Kathryn was "dealt" the first spit-up.
Thanks for taking one for the team!!
Bedste was consoling Uncle Graham who was wallowing in his loss of biggest baby (to a girl).
Tia Bria...her future fashion inspiration I hope!
 Great Grandpa Bob
Great Grandma Marion, "GG" for short
Uncle Andy, who won the baby pool with his guess of a girl named Lillian Bobbi. Close!
Mia was sporting her "Big Sis" shirt and very proud of it. She was a little confused about Lillian's name and kept calling her "Baby Kate"...it was so sweet the way she said it and she's not that far off!
Mia proved that being a big sister is a lot of work.
Because Marissa had some complications earlier in the day, we didn't get our first family picture until the evening when everyone left. And in what will be most of our family pictures in the future, there wasn't a single picture will all of us looking at the camera. Oh well, it was worth a try!

Mark's girls!!! Although he kids about the downsides of being the only guy around the house now, he can't stop smiling when he says, "My girls this" or "my girls that".
Giving our little squeaker a pacifier. Lily doesn't cry much but when she does, Mia is very concerned with helping her get quiet.
Giving a kiss in true Mia fashion...smack on the lips!
This was really cute...she kept kissing Lilybean then saw a bunch of birds fly by the window and got really excited. The birds beat out baby Lillian.
Lily LOVES to sleep but we managed to sneak in a picture of those deep blue eyes all babies have.
More pictures to come soon in the midst of feeding, sleeping and cuddling with our newest addition!!
