We took advantage of the beautiful fall day to celebrate my mom's birthday with a trip to the apple orchard and a late lunch in downtown Stillwater. We were disappointed with the lack of trees for self picking...we'll find another orchard for next year. But we had a wonderful time as a family. Happy birthday Mom/Bedste!!!

Mia feel asleep in the car and took some time to warm up to the idea of working for her food.
Getting the hang of the apple picking business.
We put Uncle Graham's height to good use.
Mia didn't understand why we would leave all the apples sitting on the ground.
Toughin' it out for her walk to the car.
After the orchard we headed over to one of my favorite restaurants...The Freight House. The onion strings are to die for. Mia got a little tied up (pun intended) in the gift wrap from Bedste's presents. My abs hurt after all the laughing we did at lunch. Graham, thank you for your detailed analysis of the bed bug situation and your thoughts on plumbing problems with eight girls in a house. I am still laughing! We finished off the afternoon with milkshakes from Leo's before the car ride home. Thank you Mom for having a birthday to celebrate and thank you family for a wonderful day!
Sadly, Miss Mia has been fighting a horrible diaper rash. When we got home and found no improvement even with the heavy dose of cream, we decided she needed to air out. She stayed pretty decent until she got really excited about the bubbles...
notice the mooning!
