Weekend with Grandma & Grandpa

Mark's parents drove up for a 24 hour visit. With them they brought this adorable Bucky Badger suit for Miss Mia. She LOVES it!! They got in to town early enough to enjoy dinner with us and then do bedtime baths and stories (which were sung this evening).IMG_0699_edited-1

The next morning, we went to the children's museum. It was the Saturday of MEA (the week where the entire state is out of school for Thursday and Friday) so everyone must have already visited the museum earlier in the long weekend because we practically had the place to ourselves. It made for lots of fun and some easy picture taking for this mamarazzi!

They got out the parachute and Mia got really excited (and her hair got crazy thanks to all the static electricity)!

Check out these crazy blues eyes filled with curiosity!

Lily was just waking up from her morning nap so we gave her some stroller time before letting her loose in the infant lily pond under Grandpa's supervision.

"What are you doing up there Mom?"

We moved over to the ant hill for some tunnel crawling. Lily was not so sure about this. Good thing Grandma was on hand to encourage her through the tree trunk!

Our last stop was the water area. I should have taken pictures of Mark instead of Mia because he was way more excited than she was. It is his favorite part of the museum and he always tries to get the kids to understand what is happening (a difficult thing because even I don't get it).

Does this face look like she wants a nap?

Grandma worked her magic and got those heavy eyes to settle down a little.

A trip to the children's museum wouldn't be complete without a stop at Cossetta's, the best place for pizza and cannoli in the cities. Mia was happy and so was her momma!!
