First trip to MADISON!!!!!

This was Amelia's first trip to Madison to visit Grandma and Grandpa Ray and see Uncle William graduate. And to take her first tour of her one and only option for college...UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MADISON!!!! You can't read the hat but we stopped by the bookstore to get her a "future badger" hat. Check out the highlights below.

At the Kohl Center where Dad graduated from high school and college. We were laughing about how much has changed in the 7 years since he was walking across that stage.

Amelia was sleeping up until 10 minutes before the ceremony started then feel back asleep 5 minutes before the end. We kept passing her around and bouncing her on our laps but she was quite the trooper, much better than the 3 year old across the aisles who was screaming.

At William's graduation party, Mark carried Amelia around in the Bjorn so people could meet her but he could still enjoy the food. Then came Bill Hausler carrying his grandson who is 3 days younger than Amelia. I couldn't resist the picture and it appears the babies heads are clean!

You are seeing that correctly, Mark was playing badminton with Amelia and she loved it.

First visit to the terrace and of course the infamous giant terrace chair!!! Nothing like 2 alums and their future badger enjoying a beautiful afternoon on the terrace. It was the best place to have our first "this is where you WILL go to college" chat. We also got some Babcock Dairy ice cream to sweeten the deal for her, but we ate it all before she could try some or we could get a picture. Oh how I miss the Babcock Dairy Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream.

The weekend was a wonderful success. So many people finally got to meet our little Amelia and see what all the excitement was about. Needless to say, our future trips to Madison will be pretty busy when there are so many people who need to see her regularly.
